Laser Operator
The laser operator will work effectively and efficiently to fabricate quality parts using both laser and finishing tools from engineering drawings.
Additional job duties include:
- Operate laser machine in safe and efficient manner
- De-nest completed parts, inspect and match to prints
- Material handling: receive, check-in and stock/put away raw materials
- Inventory maintenance: issue material, cycle count and manage obsolete material
- Read and analyze complex prints, layouts, or route sheets to determine optimal set-up
- Identify and communicate with project team regarding priorities, issues and documentation
- Maintain workflow in area
- Assist with post laser operations
- Perform preventative maintenance of laser
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Military, trade school or community college coursework in hydraulic-mechanical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting desired.
Physical requirements:
This position requires a high level of physical flexibility, strength, and stamina, including the ability to: see and assess drawings, photos, and written instructions; audibly hear verbal instructions and mechanical signals (forklifts, cranes, machine alarms, etc.); and speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds; have full range of body movement: head, neck, shoulders; lift arms overhead; work overhead; reach, lift, push/pull, walk, climb, kneel, bend; good dexterity and range of movement in fingers, hands and wrists
