CNC Machinist / Programmer
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to set up, program and operate CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining equipment for composite tooling and aerospace-related components.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-axis and 5-axis machining applications.
- Operate CNC routers and Haas machines to machine composite materials and tooling components with high precision.
- Perform fixture alignment, tool touch-offs, machine calibration, and complete setup verification prior to production runs.
- Monitor machining operations continuously and make adjustments to maintain part quality, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
- Maintain strict compliance with AS9100 quality standards and controlled manufacturing processes.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment supporting aerospace and defense programs with real deadlines.
- Collaborate with the team to meet commitments, including occasionally staying late, adjusting schedules, or stepping in where needed to ensure production goals are achieved.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mastercam programming for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining (strongly preferred).
- Experience working on aerospace and defense programs or similar high-reliability applications.
- Interest in learning and working with advanced composite manufacturing processes.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability production environment with real deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and support colleagues as needed.

WorkEnvironment
This role is based on 1st shift, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime is not mandated but is frequently available for trained employees who want additional hours. The facility is temperature-controlled, bright, and organized. Work supports aerospace and defense programs with real deadlines, so there are times when the team must push to meet commitments.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
