Material Handler​/Machine Operator

Alro Steel Corp is seeking a 1st Shift Material Handler/Machine Operator to support metals processing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will load and unload steel and plastics using forklifts and overhead cranes, operate cutting and processing machines, and accurately follow work orders to meet customer specifications. Responsibilities include inspecting material, using measuring tools, banding and staging orders, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move metals and plastics using forklifts and overhead cranes
• Operate cutting and processing machines according to work orders
• Measure and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality
• Band, label, and stage finished orders for shipment
• Read and follow production schedules and job tickets
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
• Assist with inventory counts and material organization
• Report equipment issues and help with basic machine setups
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
