Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners is adding a Nurse Practitioner to our growing pulmonary & sleep medicine practice.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Thomas to provide medical services to patients.

With 407 beds, this regional referral center features a modern facility built in 2010 and a newly-renovated 16 operating room suite
The hospital is centrally located in the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee on a beautiful 68-acre campus on the bustling Medical Center Parkway corridor with convenient access to dining and shopping areas
The hospital campus is currently undergoing a $110M expansion project, which includes the addition of 36 new high acuity beds, a parking garage dedicated to hospital employees and physicians, 18 new critical care unit beds, six additional NICU bassinets, 17 new post-surgery bays
The hospital is well known in the community for its women’s services and well-established heart surgery program
Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery

Responsibilities:
In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date Required.
Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Master's degree of Nursing required.
