LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse
Job Description
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role demands critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education, delegate patient care priorities, and provide direction and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.
Responsibilities
- Patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Implement critical thinking and scientific judgment in care planning.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuous education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Supervise assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
- 2 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
- Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy patients is required.
- 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Must possess an Indiana or multi-state compact RN license.
This position follows a 12-hour shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
