American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a pediatric hospital setting requiring at least 18 months of PICU experience and an IN or compact RN license in hand.

• Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a children's hospital
• Day shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), with 3x12 or 4x12 options
• Holiday coverage required, working 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Cerner charting system used

• Active IN or compact RN license required in hand prior to start
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of PICU experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, administration of blood and blood products, central line/implanted line care, PICC line management, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, infection control/PPE, isolation precautions, and pediatric dosage calculations required
• Nursing degree must be from a college or university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the PICU
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travelers with 12 months of accrued IU Health travel employment must take a designated break to reset eligibility
