Quality Lab Technician
The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing testing, documenting results, identifying quality concerns, and collaborating with production teams to drive continuous improvement. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical components of this position.
Responsibilities- Conduct quality testing on raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using standard measuring tools and equipment.
- Verify product conformance to specifications and established quality requirements.
- Collect product samples and perform routine testing procedures.
- Record inspection and test results accurately and maintain quality documentation.
- Assist in investigating product defects, nonconforming materials, and quality concerns.
- Communicate quality issues to production leadership and manufacturing personnel.
- Support incoming material inspections and supplier quality verification activities.
- Participate in product evaluations and process audits.
- Utilize computer systems to enter data, generate reports, and maintain records.
- Follow established testing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Maintain laboratory and inspection equipment in a clean and organized condition.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Train and support employees on quality procedures as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in a technical life science discipline preferred.
- Minimum one year of quality, laboratory, inspection, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired.
- Ability to work 3rd shift.
The position operates within a bakery plant and laboratory environment, requiring work during the 3rd shift from 11 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.55 - $24.55/hr.
