Line Cook

Marquette is recruiting for one hospitality focused Line Cook to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes and following all procedures and regulations pertaining to food preparation.

Salary Range: $19-$23 an hour (based of experience)

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Line Cook:

* Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.

* Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations.

* Attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

* Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

* Follows Marquette policies and procedures.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

* Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.

* A minimum of (3) three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution; or culinary advanced education.

* Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards.

* Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.

* Serve Safe Certified or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire date.
