- Provides courteous and friendly customer relations, including greeting customers and answering their questions.
- Orders products as requested.
- Prepares, handles, stocks, or stores all products received.
- Rotates all merchandise according to code dating policies.
- Applies proper stocking techniques to ensure proper location on the shelf, in saleable condition, and within the stocking guidelines established.
- Keeps the department fixtures, equipment, and area free from accident hazards at all times.
- Handles all store property and equipment in such a manner as to provide safe use.
- Maintains housekeeping functions (shelves and loose cardboard disposal).
- Assists in display building as directed.
- Works back stock from back room.
- Operate ordering equipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and hydraulic baler.
- Run register and assist front-end operations as requested.
- Unload trucks.
- Monitor the temperature of refrigerated cases.
- Operate telephones and intercoms and practice proper telephone etiquette.
- Follows all policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
