Microbiologist

As the Microbiologist, you are responsible for coordinating and performing tests for SARS-CoV-2 and other targets of public health concern. Duties include sample examination and analyses, recording, interpreting, and result reporting of test results. The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Conduct wastewater sample concentration, RNA extraction, and PCR molecular testing. Maintain laboratory record system of submitted samples. Evaluate, interpret, and validate laboratory results. Conduct quality control checks on laboratory methods, materials, and equipment. Assists with preparation of reports from data compiled. Participate in evaluation of new products used in environmental laboratory work.
