Plumber

As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian is seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our team to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential/commercial settings. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong dedication to quality, work, and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.

* Diagnose and Repair: troubleshoot and fix plumbing issues such as leaks, pipe failures, commercial and residential toilets, and clogged drains.

* Installation:
Install, inspect, and maintain plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, faucets, water heaters, valves, fittings, and garbage disposals. Cut, assemble, and install pipes (PVC, PEX, Copper, etc.).

* System Maintenance: conduct routine and preventative maintenance to ensure plumbing systems operate efficiently and safely.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked inventory.

* Adhere to all local, state, and safety regulations (OSHA).

Required Qualifications:

* 10 years of professional plumbing experience

* Valid State Plumbing License

* Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations

* Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

* Ability to be On-Call for emergencies.
