Field Service Engineer-Service Dept.
The Field Service Engineer-Service Dept. provides a strategic job at Salvagnini America. The position is responsible for providing on-site troubleshooting and repair of the equipment, customer support and training on state-of-the-art products from stand-alone machines to highly flexible automated systems.
This position reports directly to the department manager, and includes the duties of troubleshooting and repair, customer training on the equipment, and on-site modifications to equipment. Submission of clear, and detailed, reports documenting the work performed, open points, and closed points in a timely manner. Professional appearance and good customer feedback is critical. Adherence to SOP's and implementation of new procedures.

Frequent US and occasional international travel will be required, up to 75%, including some weekends. You must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. The individual must possess a valid driver's license, pass a motor vehicle record check and have the unrestricted ability to obtain rental vehicles.
Pay Range: $70 - $75K

Strong mathematical skills, including Algebra and Trigonometry. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Competency with Digital Multi-meters. The ability to read and understand electrical schematics is required.
Sound mechanical aptitude is a must. The ability to use common hand tools and read mechanical drawings is required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. The ability to recognize and evaluate technical issues and limitations is required. The ability to define and manage expectations is critical. The ability to make sound decisions and actions is required.
Candidate must have the ability to lift 75 lbs. without restrictions. Walking distances, transporting tools through the Customer's location is required. Climbing steps and ladders, working in areas offering tight access is frequently required.
