Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and routine inspections on CNC machines, robotic welders, automation systems, and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production machinery.
- Troubleshoot CNC controls, automated robotic cells, sensors, motors, and PLC-driven systems to restore proper operation.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain smooth operations.
- Support robotic welding cells by resolving alarms, I/O faults, sensor issues, and minor program interruptions.
- Monitor automation equipment such as material-handling robotics, conveyors, and automated inspection systems to ensure consistent performance.
- Verify the safe and proper functionality of robotic guarding, light curtains, and other safety devices.
- Perform mechanical repairs on CNC machining centers, including work on spindles, tool changers, coolant systems, and axis drives.
- Support the upkeep, repair, and overall performance of all production machinery, including CNC machines, robotic welding cells, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for complex industrial machinery.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including work with 3-phase power and industrial motors.
- Experience working with CNC machines and/or robotic welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and basic PLC troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation systems, robotic automation, and automation machinery.
- Demonstrated experience in preventive maintenance and maintenance repair activities in an industrial environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Fanuc and/or Allen-Bradley PLCs is a plus.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, including installation and service of automation equipment.
- Comfort working in a fully automated facility with advanced CNC machining centers and robotic systems.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Speedway, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
