Facility Services Technician
Job SummaryThe Facility Services Technician is responsible for the clean‑up and transportation of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste, loading and unloading tanks and railcars, performing confined‑space entry, and operating a variety of equipment such as pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and hydro‑blasting systems in accordance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform railcar offloading and cleaning, including safe transfer of materials and proper decontamination procedures.
- Execute roll‑splitting operations using facility equipment (e.g., guillotine or roll splitter systems).
- Conduct internal tank cleaning and industrial cleaning services, including confined‑space entry as required.
- Load and unload tanks, tankers, railcars, and containers with bulk liquids and materials.
- Operate a variety of equipment including pressure washers, hydro‑blasting systems, vacuum trucks, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
- Perform routine inspection of hoses, connections, tanks, and equipment prior to and during operations.
- Handle, package, and transport hazardous and non‑hazardous materials in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all required documentation (manifests, permits, job summaries, logs, etc.) accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through daily housekeeping activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and onsite personnel to support operational efficiency.
- Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards and procedures at all times.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and pass a respirator fit test.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, and work from heights; ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend or twist for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Prior experience in industrial services, environmental services, or material handling.
- Experience with hydro‑blasting, vacuum systems, or industrial cleaning equipment.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Walk, stand, sit, and climb; work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Continuously kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, or twist for extended periods.
- Wear a full‑face respirator when required.
- Work in various weather conditions.
In addition to salary, this role is eligible for a benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental coverage; 401(k) plan; paid parental leave; paid time off; and paid holidays.
Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably. The base pay range for this position is USD 18.85–25.05 per hour, based on the primary location of the posting. The final salary offered will be determined by factors including experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, and travel requirements.
