Industrial Electrician
As an Industrial Electrician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electrical devices and systems associated with feeder/branch circuits and over-current protection.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic equipment such as motors, switches, timers, transformers, power rectifiers and photoelectric sensors
- Operates equipment and tools to complete work such as cutting, threading, bending conduit, removing and replacing conduit, fittings, and junction boxes
- Installs and connects distribution and utilization equipment components; ensures safety codes and National Electric Codes (NEC) are met prior to installation
- Draws, reads and interprets electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
- Conducts weekly/monthly calibrations as required by regulatory agencies
- Serves as an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team (PERT); ensures electrical shutdown in case of an emergency
- Operates forklift or similar machinery as needed
- Maintains an understanding of and adherence to related State and Federal rules for waste management
- Utilizes the appropriately required personal protective equipment (PPE), as this position works around hazardous materials
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required) - Certified Electrical Journeyman
-OR- an Associate degree in an electrical related field (required)
- 3+ years of experience as an electrician (required)
- Previous experience working with PLCs (preferred)
