Overview
Schedule
* Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
* Position supports multiple IU Health facilities
Benchmarks for Success
* First 3 Months:
Build relationships with facility staff and begin responding to service calls independently
* 6 Months:
Fully dependable, able to manage workload independently
* 12 Months:
Proactively identify facility needs and recommend process or system improvements
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to daily maintenance requests and work orders from staff
* Perform general maintenance including:
* Electrical (secondary systems)
* Plumbing
* Painting
* Hardware repairs
* Complete both scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance
* Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including:
* Plumbing, HVAC/air systems, and electrical systems
* Maintain, inspect, and repair equipment in accordance with code and regulatory requirements
* Conduct routine building and grounds inspections
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities
* Recommend improvements to facility systems to support patient care needs
* Perform additional duties as assigned

* Mechanical systems

* Fire systems
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance experience
* General knowledge of:
* Electrical secondary systems
* Plumbing systems
* Fire system devices
* Air/HVAC systems
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
* Basic computer skills required
* Valid Indiana driver's license with proof of insurance may be required
* Knowledge of healthcare building codes preferred
