We are recruiting a high-level Field Service Generator Technician in the Indianapolis, IN area for a well-established power generation service company. The job duties include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automatic transfer switches, paralleling and switch gear. Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, electronic, and digital control system issues on a wide variety of mobile generator units.
• Remove, repair, and replace major components, including starters, alternators, digital controllers, and fuel system elements.
• Set up, configure, and test generator paralleling systems to ensure seamless multi-unit synchronization and load sharing.
• Troubleshoot, program, and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and integrated mobile switch gear configurations.
• Perform comprehensive load-bank testing and rigorous quality checks on all mobile assets before deployment back into the field.
• Accurately document all diagnostic findings, parts used, and repair actions within the shop's maintenance tracking system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of generator experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to be on call required
• Ability to work weekends
