Lilly's Engineering & Maintenance team seeks a High Voltage Electrician to ensure safe, reliable power for pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D operations. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage distribution equipment, motor control centers, and critical backup systems in a cGMP environment. Partnering closely with engineering, you'll drive preventive maintenance, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement while upholding strict safety, quality, and compliance standards that support life-changing medicines.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage electrical distribution and associated equipment in a pharmaceutical facility.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on switch gear, transformers, MCCs, and backup power systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime in manufacturing and R&D operations.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams to execute accurate repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, including NFPA 70
  • E, NEC, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance to support capital projects and system upgrades.
  • Document maintenance activities in accordance with c

  • Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability.
  • Support testing and commissioning of new or modified electrical installations.
  • Respond to off-hours or emergency calls as needed to protect critical operations.
