Controls Technician - Nights
Craft Mark Bakery is hiring a Controls Technician to support its highly automated, state-of-the-art commercial bakery. The position focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and automation systems that keep production running safely and efficiently.
This role is focused on maintaining and improving the bakery's automated production systems while ensuring safe, reliable operation.
This position is best suited for an experienced industrial controls technician or automation technician with strong expertise in:
- Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
- SCADA systems
- Motion control and VFDs
- Industrial networking
- Instrumentation and electrical systems
- Food manufacturing or other highly automated industrial environments
- Able to install electrical systems (conduit, run wire, and mount devices
Candidates for the Skilled Controls Technician position should have:
- A Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent technical training and relevant work experience.
- At least 1 year of related industrial controls or maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of the operation and maintenance of processing, packaging, and related production equipment.
- Working knowledge of:
- Electronic circuits
- Electrical systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Equipment schematics and prints
Overall, the role is designed for someone with a solid foundation in industrial automation, electrical troubleshooting, and production equipment maintenance, with a strong emphasis on PLCs, controls, and automated manufacturing systems.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for 3-5 hours at a time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
