Maintenance Tech

Superior Metal Technologies in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Maintenance Tech to support our aluminum anodizing, powder coating, and metal finishing operations. In this hands-on role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, and help keep finishing lines, pumps, and conveyors running safely and efficiently. You'll work closely with production and quality teams in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment that values precision, continuous improvement, and technical growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and metal finishing lines
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
• Inspect, adjust, and repair pumps, conveyors, compressors, and ovens
• Support installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and tools
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders in CMMS or related systems
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to prioritize repairs and improvements
• Assist with facility maintenance, including utilities, lighting, and basic building repairs
• Identify and recommend process and reliability improvements for equipment
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams
