As a Solutions Architect, you'll support customer engagements that focus on secure, scalable, cloud-enabled architectures that modernize legacy Marine Corps systems and enable AI-assisted code conversion. This role partners closely with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate mission requirements into achievable technical solutions, select appropriate frameworks and platforms, and guide implementation across AI/ML, data, cloud, Dev Sec Ops , and legacy modernization efforts.

What you'll do:

• Work with the Senior Architect, and engage with customers and internal teams, explaining architecture decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and implementation options to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Recommend cloud, data, AI/ML, and Dev Sec Ops  patterns that align with government security and operational requirements.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, constraints, and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Build and update hybrid deterministic-agentic AI pipelines using frameworks like Lang Chain and Llama Index to orchestrate modular, multi-step workflows.
• Fine-tune large language models for instruction-following, code synthesis, and domain-specific adaptation.
• Integrate code-as-data paradigms (ASTs, control/data flow graphs) to improve model explainability and trust.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Located:
  Indianapolis, IN metro area
• Secret Security clearance
• Intermediate experience building AI, ML, or data science applications
• 1+ years of experience in AI system design
• Foundational understanding of fine-tuning LLMs and evaluating them using real-world benchmarks (Human Eval, Big Code Bench , CodeXGlue).
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, agent frameworks (Lang Chain, Google ADK), and prompt engineering.
• Familiar with model context protocol (MCP) to standardize how models interact with APIs and external data sources, including legacy code bases.
• Proficient in Python, API development, and secure system design.
• Interpersonal skills, shows ability to take technical direction and provide quick turn MVP examples.

SALARY RANGE: $78,000 - $115,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of Metro Star, which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
• Referral bonuses
