Delivery Driver Shift 1Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday early morning start times as early as 5:00 am. in state and out of state driving. Possible Overnight Stay in hotel paid by company. Start and end times vary.
Delivery Driver Shift 2Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday early morning start times as early as 5:00 am. in state and out of state driving. Overnight Stay in hotel paid by company two times a month Wednesday into Thursday. Start and end times vary.
Delivery DriverEssential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to navigate surrounding areas using GPS and comfortable with scanning devices.
- Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers).
- Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
- Extended periods of sitting.
Minimum Requirements and Employee Expectations:
- Must be 21+ years of Age
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years for insurance purposes).
- Background check required.
- Ability to use smartphones and willingness to learn our company's workflow-related applications
- Experience driving cargo vans and box trucks.
