Student Nurse Extern

We are seeking a dedicated Student Nurse Extern to join our team and provide direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Preceptor. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in an approved school of nursing program within the United States, preparing candidates for registered nursing licensure.

• Provide direct and indirect patient care as per the guidelines mastered in the prospective school of nursing
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Preceptor
• Adhere to the Mississippi Student Nurse Externship Program Guideline
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care

• Currently enrolled in an approved school of nursing program within the United States
• Successfully completed one academic year or two clinical semesters of nursing courses
• Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
