Schedule: Must be available for Coachella weekends, prep days, load-in, show days, and strike as needed
Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Livestream Technicians to support high-volume live productions during Coachella weekends. This role is ideal for candidates with hands‑on experience in live streaming, field production, encoder systems, camera signal flow, networking, and fast‑paced troubleshooting in real‑world event environments.
The Livestream Technician will be responsible for helping deploy, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot livestream systems across multiple locations, talent activations, and live content environments. Candidates should be calm under pressure, technically sharp, highly organized, and comfortable working long event days in dynamic festival conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Build, deploy, and break down livestream systems for live event and IRL-style productions
- Configure and support encoder workflows, including stream destinations and signal routing
- Assist with setup and operation of streaming backpacks, bonded cellular systems, modems, networking gear, and related field transmission equipment
- Support camera, audio, capture, monitoring, and ingest workflows
- Verify stream health, bitrate stability, audio/video sync, and overall broadcast integrity
- Troubleshoot network issues, encoder failures, signal loss, audio problems, and hardware faults in real time
- Coordinate with production, camera ops, audio, and technical leadership to maintain show readiness
- Manage cable runs, power, patching, device charging, battery swaps, and technical readiness across the event day
- Maintain clean technical documentation, labeling, and equipment organization
- Support load‑in, testing, live operations, contingency planning, and strike
- Live event technical operations experience
- Strong understanding of live video signal flow, audio routing, and streaming workflows
- Experience with one or more of the following: TVU, LiveU, OBS, vMix, ATEM, capture cards, video converters, RTMP/SRT workflows
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routers, switches, IP‑based workflows, and internet redundancy
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly during live production
- Comfortable working outdoors, on location, and in high‑pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work long hours as required by live event production
- Experience with festival, concert, IRL, or multi‑location livestream productions
- Familiarity with bonded cellular, Starlink, or field transmission kits
- Experience supporting multi‑camera creator/talent streams
- Familiarity with comms systems, IFB, tally, and on‑site technical coordination
- Basic understanding of stream platform delivery across Twitch, You Tube, Kick, X, etc.
- Moves fast without becoming sloppy
- Understands redundancy and live‑event risk management
- Can work independently but also follow technical direction precisely
- Knows how to stay organized across multiple active setups
- Brings a solutions‑first mindset under pressure
