Overview

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager V with federal project management experience to help deliver a transformative federal initiative with far-reaching impact. This role places you at the forefront of a high-profile program, requiring strong leadership, innovative problem-solving, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through every phase of project execution. This position can be located in several cities, including:
Robles Junction, AZ;
Sonoita, AZ;
Indio, CA;
Casa Grande, AZ; and San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary client point of contact onsite
  • Maintain quality control procedures
  • Oversee all design reviews and estimates
  • Oversee claims avoidance procedures
  • Coordinate Design Team actions and approval processes.
  • Review Cash flow projections as needed.
  • Monitor Budget and Schedule adherence.
  • Manage Owner-directed vendors and consultants through coordination efforts.
  • Establish operational objectives and work plans.
  • Develop, modify, execute program policies that affect immediate operations and may have program-wide effect.
  • Oversee the administration of certain procedures during the program wide construction and design cycle.
  • Provide overall management administration to projects and assist in establishing projects specific objectives and policies.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to other project managers, implement company and project policies, maintain close client interface, and ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with client standards.
  • Apply financial terminology, measures, financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments.
  • Recognize processes/project actions that may lead to project financial impact.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to the leadership team regarding contract disputes, schedule variances, change orders (CO), and proposed change orders (PCO).
  • Construction and design schedule review and analysis.
  • Project specific responsibilities including supporting project from inception to completion, coordinating design review comments, providing quality assurance, observing and certifying work in place as part of processing invoices, managing change management (RFI), tracking project status and quality compliance relative to schedule, cost control, and quality.
Qualifications
  • Minimum:
    Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience with Federal Projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Must successfully pass client background check including motor vehicle check and drug screen.
  • Preferred:
    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Owner representative experience.
  • Industry certifications such as CQM and DBIA or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in Bluebeam Revu, SharePoint, MS Project or other PMIS preferred.
  • Project and client management experience including management of multiple projects of significant scope and complexity.
  • Experience managing complex projects and coordinating with a team of multiple stakeholders and contractors.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas and gain consensus from senior leaders.
  • Strong cost and schedule management skills.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Ability to champion and drive ideas/solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to work under pressure, deliver on time, and prioritize effectively.
  • Passion, energy, and drive, especially in the face of resistance.
