We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in building maintenance, particularly in A/C systems and kitchen refrigeration. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technician with a guest‑focused, hospitality‑driven approach.
Pay: $30 - $35
GeneralPurpose:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with strong troubleshooting skills who can also support kitchen equipment, light plumbing, and general building maintenance. This is a hands‑on position for a dependable, skilled professional who takes pride in keeping systems running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes.
Essential Duties:- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and service HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Install and repair control systems including switches, relays, thermostats, and related components.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork as required.
- Service and repair commercial kitchen equipment including refrigeration, ice machines, ovens, and related systems.
- Perform light plumbing repairs including valves, fixtures, drains, and supply lines.
- Perform general building maintenance including minor electrical, mechanical, and facility repairs.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate service records. Repair or replace faulty, hazardous, or damaged HVAC and refrigeration components.
- Participate in the weekend schedule and respond in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience:
- HVAC Technician Certificate from an accredited college or technical school preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration training and/or experience, or a combination of education and practical experience.
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment preferred.
- Frequently uses hands and tools; regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls.
- Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; pushes or pulls up to 100 pounds.
- Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, compact mechanical spaces, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and refrigeration materials.
- Noise level is moderate to high depending on equipment and work area.
- Valid Driver’s License may be required.
- EPA Certification required.
- Mechanical or HVAC Contractor License preferred (if applicable).
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Professional service‑oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to read and speak English as required to perform job duties and communicate with staff and vendors.
