SOUS CHEF

About the role

Become the Sous Chef at PT Bali Food Lover', a leading restaurant group in the heart of Gianyar, Bali. In this full-time role, you will play a key strategic and operational role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

• Assist the Head Chef in managing and directing the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
• Oversee the planning, preparation and presentation of all food items on the menu
• Monitor food quality, portion control and wastage to optimise kitchen efficiency
• Coach and mentor the kitchen team to continuously develop their skills and capabilities
• Ensure strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and refine the menu
• Monitor kitchen inventory and place orders for ingredients and supplies

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume restaurant environment
• Formal culinary training and qualifications in the Hospitality or Culinary Arts field
• Excellent knowledge of international and local cuisine, cooking techniques and food presentation
• Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and develop the kitchen team
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
