We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables operations for a contract assignment based in Volo, Illinois. This position is well suited for someone who is comfortable managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate customer account records, and following up on outstanding balances. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, confidence working in financial systems, and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Record and post incoming customer payments accurately, including processing cash applications and matching transactions to open invoices.
• Handle remote check deposits and ensure all receipts are entered promptly and correctly within the accounting system.
• Communicate with customers regarding past-due balances, resolve payment issues, and support collection efforts effectively.
• Maintain customer account information by updating records, reviewing account activity, and ensuring billing details remain current.
• Apply credit memos to customer accounts and verify that adjustments are reflected accurately in receivable balances.
• Use Sage 100 and Microsoft Office applications to track receivables activity, prepare account information, and support daily accounting workflows.
• Review account discrepancies, research outstanding items, and coordinate with internal teams to support timely resolution.
