Job Description
Material Handler/ Pre-Stage Coordinator
This position is directly responsible for pre-stage functions, including receiving, put away and picking of materials to stock job carts. This position assists and participates in meeting the Receiving/Pre-Stage Team objectives including quality, safety, on-time, and accurate shipments, housekeeping and stockroom accuracy. Responsible for proper identification and storage of raw material, dies, stockroom accuracy and cycle counting.
Essential Functions:
- Receives incoming raw materials and dies verifying shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and assessing damaged goods.
- Processes receiving, identification of raw materials and dies along with coordination of retool and new die requests with the Purchasing Department.
- Performs inventory transactions and cycle counts as required.
- Moves stock to storage and store in assigned locations.
- Follows safe practices and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Assists in the documentation of WIP for end of month.
- Responsible for identifying problems that may cause a delay in meeting our required ship date and work to eliminate problems with the Purchasing/Inventory Planning Manager and the Production Manager.
- Operates the slitter/rewinder to slit materials and join materials for efficient press use.
- Maximizes productivity and minimize waste in every action performed.
- Stop production or process if the product and/or information is not to standard
- Address and stop any dangerous activity that may cause damage to the product, process, personnel and/or environment
Requirements:
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED - Experience:
Minimum one-year of manufacturing experience preferred. - Computer
Skills:
Basic - Certifications & Licenses:
- Forklift Certification
- Train the Trainer Forklift Certification

$19.00/hr
2nd shift:
$20.90/hr
