Assistant to the First Lady of West Angeles Church of God in Christ plays a crucial role in supporting the First Lady in various administrative and organizational duties within the women’s ministry and church as a whole. This position acts as a liaison between the first lady and the female-driven auxiliaries of the church. They will also aid in the coordination of the food services department.

This position requires a high level of discretion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the church's mission and values.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the First Lady's schedule, including appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the First Lady.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries directed to the First Lady.
  • Facilitate communication between First Lady and congregants, staff, and external parties.
  • Support the First Lady in outreach efforts to the church community and beyond.
  • Help organize and promote community service initiatives and charitable activities.
  • Provide logistical support when needed during church services, ceremonies, and visits.
  • Assist in preparing materials for teachings and other spiritual activities.
  • Assist in planning and organizing special events and gatherings hosted by the First Lady.
  • Coordinate logistics, invitations, catering, and other event-related details.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information and matters related to the church and its members.
  • Handle personal matters with discretion and professionalism.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email management tools).
  • Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.
  • Knowledge of church operations and familiarity with religious protocols (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Emotional maturity and interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • High ethical standards and a trustworthy demeanor.
Working Conditions

This position may require occasional evening and weekend work. It involves regular interaction with church staff, volunteers, and members of the congregation.
