Community Schools Site Coordinator
A community school is a "whole-child" school improvement strategy where the local educational agency (LEA) works closely with teachers, students, and families. The Community Schools Site Coordinator (CSSC) is a dedicated staff member responsible for coordinating and supporting the programs that address the learning barriers for students. The CSSC is responsible for planning, research, community engagement, and later implementation, alignment and coordination of the community school strategy at the site level.
The CSSC is responsible for facilitating the process of transforming the school into a full-service community school by working in partnership with site and district teams to assess the school community's needs and assets. As the CSSC coordinates all student and family support services and creates a learning environment in partnership with school administration that supports student achievement and wellness.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
- Valid California credential (PPS or related) required.
- Minimum two to three years of related professional experience.
- Experience in family engagement and community partnerships.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License.
