Process Engineer
The position of Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. They work with various teams to develop new techniques, modify existing processes, implement process improvement projects and introduce new product.
Essential duties and responsibilities include analyzing and improving existing manufacturing processes to increase safety, efficiency and quality, while reducing costs. They also identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve manufacturing processes, perform failure analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions. They work closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production operations. They provide hands-on support on the shop floor, integrate new products & technologies, and support area-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
They participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance. They provide training and support to end-users on new products, processes, equipment, and technologies. They investigate and resolve production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring robust and cost-effective solutions. They establish metrics, collect and analyze data, and use statistical process control to monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
They utilize SAP to model, analyze, and improve business processes.
Skills and requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 or more years of engineering, manufacturing or data analysis experience. They must be able to work on manufacturing and/or assembly floor, have technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities, and experience with MRP/ERP software. They must be proficient in project management, detailed oriented and adaptable, and able to speak/read/write English. They must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
