The Machine Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring CNC programming and machining expertise, particularly with 3-axis and 4-axis machining centers utilizing Haas controls. The Machine Shop Manager will lead and develop a team of up to five machinists while actively supporting programming, setup, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities.
Required- Minimum 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of Supervisory or Management experience within a machine shop environment.
- Advanced proficiency in G-code programming.
- Extensive experience programming and operating 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining centers.
- Strong working knowledge of Haas controls and Haas CNC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to manage production priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
