RN - MedSurg​/Tele

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice while also directing and guiding patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel. The nurse is accountable for the care given to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.

Rapid response to changes in patients' conditions is essential.

• Provide direct patient care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responding quickly to changes.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians.
• Direct and guide nursing personnel and assist in patient/family teaching.

• Current and valid RN License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable.
• Minimum of 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to float to various units as required.
• Compliance with minimum health requirements, including vaccinations.
