Overview

Centinela Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare and a top‑15 hospital system in the United States, is a 362‑bed acute‑care facility serving Inglewood and the greater Los Angeles area for 100 years. Awarded in the top 5 % nationally for quality and patient safety, it offers comprehensive services, including a 24‑hour STEMI‑certified emergency department, primary stroke center, orthopedic care, advanced cardiac and critical‑care services, and inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor provides administrative leadership for the department, working collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. Responsibilities include developing and implementing departmental plans, leading performance improvement activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, preparing and overseeing staff orientation and training, and maintaining clear communication with staff, physicians, and administration. The Supervisor is accountable for quality during their shift, assists the Director with daily unit operations, supervises and evaluates personnel, manages time, equipment, and staff, and performs direct patient care as needed.

The role requires continual assessment of care and direction of staff to adjust care plans immediately.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate, current upon hire and maintained.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, current upon hire and maintained.
  • Minimum of three years as Charge Nurse or equivalent experience.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred.
  • Professional certification within two years of hire preferred.
Pay Transparency

Compensation ranges from $45.43 to $64.91 per hour, inclusive of wages, benefits, and other remuneration. The exact starting pay will be determined at selection, considering skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
