Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides specialized direct patient care within a hospital setting, focusing on patients with cardiac monitoring needs. They ensure safe and effective care by utilizing their clinical expertise and adherence to hospital standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously and accurately to identify changes requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessment data.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other vital signs using telemetry equipment and report findings to physicians.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, clinical observations, and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid state RN license.
• Possess a valid BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Obtain current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Bring at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR systems.
• Be capable of floating between medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed.
