Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Per Diem, Night Shift: 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice while maintaining high standards in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
- Communicates effectively with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Provides patient/family teaching and directs activities of other nursing personnel.
- May be required to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry departments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
- Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience.
- Meditech EMR experience preferred.
