Public Safety Officer

Overview

Centinela Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is actively seeking new team members to join its award-winning team. Centinela has served the Inglewood and greater Los Angeles area for 100 years and is an acute-care hospital with a 24-hour STEMI certified emergency department, primary stroke center, orthopedic care, advanced cardiac services, critical care services, and inpatient and outpatient rehab programs.

Performs security services, including electronic surveillance, and conducts systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds. Coordinates facility response to potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors. Enforces policy and procedure with equitable enforcement. Follows guidelines and monitoring techniques to establish a safe workplace and environment of care. Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety.

Participates in employee awareness and education. Driving as needed for company business.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Experience in healthcare security or related field preferred
• State Guard Certification Registration Card
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• State Driver’s license upon hire
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report

Centinela Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.70 per hour, with the exact starting compensation determined at the time of hire based on factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
