Supervision is received from the Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations or designee. This classification does not exercise supervision.

The Skilled Maintenance – Multi-Trade Specialist is the journey-level classification responsible for independently performing skilled work across several trades and supporting a wide range of maintenance and minor construction projects. Incumbents are expected to demonstrate proficiency in one or more trades while assisting in others. Incumbents are expected to diagnose issues, determine appropriate corrective actions, and complete work with minimal direction across District facilities.

Incumbents may provide guidance, direction, or technical support to assigned staff, assistants, or employees supporting work activities; however, this classification does not include ongoing responsibility for assigning, prioritizing, or formally reviewing the work of others, which is characteristic of the Skilled Maintenance – Lead Multi-Trade Specialist.
