Vortex Doors is searching for a seasoned technician with 4+ years in the industry to install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial doors, dock equipment, and access hardware. If you love solving tough mechanical problems and delivering five‑star service, let’s talk.

What you’ll do Install, troubleshoot, and repair sectional, rolling steel, storefront, and specialty doors—plus dock equipment and related hardware.

Diagnose issues with springs, hinges, locks, operators, and electrical/low‑voltage components; perform routine and advanced repairs.

Set up locks, closers, handles, and access control systems to spec.

Confirm every installation meets building codes and safety standards.

Communicate clearly with customers: explain findings, outline options, and recommend cost‑effective solutions.

Document service calls, repairs, and installations accurately.

Perform final quality checks that reflect Vortex’s high bar for workmanship.

4+ years in commercial door service; AAADM certification is a plus.

Experience with multiple door types/brands and associated hardware.

Fluent with hand/power tools, tape‑measure accuracy, and fractions/math.

Knowledge of safety regulations and proven adherence to protocols.

Competent with computers for documentation and communication.

Schedule and environment

Full‑time between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday; overtime and on‑call as needed.

Fast‑moving, results‑driven atmosphere with continuous training and support.

Valid driver license required; you’ll operate a company vehicle.

Compensation Salary: $26.00/hr. – $32.00/hr preferred proficienciesAAADM certified
