Job Requirements and Duties
Requirements and operations include:
- You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards, and access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
- You should possess customer service skills, navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
- Drivers also help with inside tasks periodically such as food preparation, cleaning, etc. (Please see General Job Duties for All Team Members).
- Must be licensed in the US for at least the last 2 years and be able to prove a licensed driving history. You must be an insured driver on the vehicle insurance policy. Vehicle must be registered.
Job Duties for All Team Members
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler. Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.

- In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees to 90 degrees and above in some areas.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces up to 500 degrees or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Medical and sensory requirements: talking/hearing, vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.

All drivers (applicant or employee) must meet these requirements to be eligible to drive:
- Must be 18 years or older;
- Provide documentation of at least 2 years of licensed driving history in the United States.
- Uninterrupted driving history of at least 1.5 years within the last 2 years; no suspensions at the start of the 2-year period.
- No more than 1 violation and 1 at-fault accident within the last 2 years; no more than 2 violations and 1 at-fault accident within the last 3 years; no more than 3 violations and no more than 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
- No distracted driving violations within the last 3 years; no serious violations in the past 5 years (examples include drugs/alcohol, leaving the scene, speeding, etc.).
- Periodic delivery vehicle inspection requirements are listed, including headlights, tires, mirrors, lights, brakes, wipers, doors, backup lights, horn, safety belt.
