Job DetailsLTL (Less-Than-Truckload) Transportation Operations Manager oversees the daily movement, routing, and terminal handling of consolidated freight.
Experience4+ years in freight brokerage, dispatching, or terminal operations
Core Responsibilities- Network & Route Optimization:
Plan efficient multi-stop delivery and pickup routes to cut fuel costs and transit times. - Terminal & Dock Management:
Supervise cross-dock loading, freight sorting, and warehouse workflow to prevent bottlenecks. - Staff & Fleet Leadership:
Direct drivers, dock workers, dispatchers, and shift supervisors. - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and OSHA safety rules. - Budget & Cost Control:
Manage operational expenses, track KPIs (like on-time delivery rates), and negotiate carrier rates
