Cashier - Inkster, MI

Ferrous Processing and Trading (FPT), a subsidiary of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., seeks a Cashier to manage payments and paperwork for individual and commercial customers at its Inkster, MI location. The Cashier will provide friendly and accurate customer service during face‑to‑face and telephone interactions.

• Process payments and complete required paperwork for individual and commercial customers.
• Calculate daily transactions using computerized programs and balance the cash drawer at day‑end.
• Generate invoices, itemize lists and tickets noting materials and amounts due.
• Verify weights, prices, and extensions.
• Provide relief and/or backup duties for the Office Assistant and Weighmaster.
• Assist with monthly closing reporting and inventory reconciliation as needed.
• Reconcile daily transactions and report results.
• Maintain customer counts and update weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously by effectively prioritizing and organizing assignments.
• Availability Monday‑Friday, half day on Saturday.
• Pre‑employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required.
