Security Officer: Access Control & Patrols

Inkster, MI

• Mon/Tu/Th/Fri 9am-5:30pm
• Wed 11am-7:30pm

• Access control – ensure only authorized personnel have access to the site.
• Foot patrol – walk interior and exterior of buildings to identify security or safety issues.
• Mobile patrol – patrol parking lots and surrounding areas in a security vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers, coworkers, etc.
• Guard posts – e.g., lobby or reception areas.
• Monitor CCTV and report problems.
• Check employee and vendor identification.
• Identify suspicious persons, packages, activities.
• Provide first aid or other medical treatment if required.
• Operate X‑ray and/or metal detection equipment where deployed.
• Follow site‑specific post guidelines.
• Report hazardous conditions and needed repairs (lighting, plumbing, wet floors, etc.).
• Document daily activities and incident reports.
• No smoking while in DK uniform, on or off duty.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years old and have a high‑school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must pass a drug screening at time of hire and on occasion thereafter (including marijuana) in compliance with federal law.
• No felony convictions (MCL 338.1067, 338.1060).
• No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of evidence or information, controlled substances, or two or more alcohol‑related offenses.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for 8–12 hours at a time.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Readiness to respond to emergencies.
• Visual clarity to 20 feet (glasses or contacts allowed).
• Auditory ability in loud environments.
• Proficient with a smartphone or computer for email and online training.
• Fluently read, write, speak, understand English.
• Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• Personal integrity and positive attitude.
• Complete required training and adhere to all client and company policies.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

High School Diploma or GED.

Michigan Driver’s License.

• Pay Rate: $19.40 per hour.
