Policy Manager for Environmental Programs

Join Inuvialuit Regional Corporation as the Environmental Programs & Policy Manager, focusing on impactful policies for marine and climate issues. This role supports cleaner energy initiatives in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

You will work directly under the Director of Innovation, Science and Climate Change, managing environmental projects and policy initiatives. With a strong emphasis on community development, your insights will directly influence policy creation and environmental planning aimed at achieving results that favor the Inuvialuit communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for environmental programs and funding

• Evaluate and monitor the implementation of policies

• Lead outreach activities on climate change issues

• Mentor the next generation of Inuvialuit STEM professionals

• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to impact strategies

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in environmental science required

• At least 5 years in project management

• Experience with financial planning and reporting

• 2 years of experience in managing teams

• Knowledge of Indigenous community engagement
