IRC Climate Programs Manager Position

Shape the future of environmental policy with the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation as the Environmental Programs & Policy Manager. Engage in vital projects addressing climate change and biodiversity.

Under the guidance of the Director of Innovation, Science and Climate Change, this term position focuses on managing environmental initiatives and supporting community-driven projects.

Your role will encompass strategic planning, policy development, and overseeing staff to fulfill the IRC's environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise environmental programming strategy development

• Manage funding acquisition for climate initiatives

• Produce policy documents and action plans

• Execute IRC's strategic plan and support project implementation

• Encourage knowledge mobilization in environmental sciences

Requirements:

• Master’s degree required;
PhD preferred

• 5+ years managing related projects needed

• Strong financial management experience

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience

• Proven experience in policy development for non-technical audiences

Promote well-being and strategic environmental governance across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
