Position: NTPC Diesel Mechanic Role

As part of a skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for routine as well as major repair tasks on diesel generators and ancillary systems. Utilizing your journeyperson experience, you will contribute to safe operations, mentor junior staff, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to NTPC’s programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute mechanical repairs on natural gas and diesel units

• Conduct routine and significant overhauls per NTPC guidelines

• Ensure health and safety practices are followed diligently

• Assist with training and troubleshooting for operational staff

• Prepare reports on maintenance activities and equipment conditions

Requirements:

• Certification as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

• At least five years of hands-on experience required

• Full valid NWT Class 5 driver’s license necessary

• Strong safety knowledge and diagnostic abilities

• Capability to work effectively within teams
