Steel Fitter at Aecon Industrial

Elevate your skills with Aecon as a Steel Fitter in Canada or the U.S. This role focuses on custom steel fabrication using GMAW, MCAW, and FCAW welding techniques.

As a part of Aecon Industrial, you will contribute to innovative construction and water infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibilities will include laying out, fitting, and welding steel components per blueprints. You will also operate specialized tools while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Layout, fit, and weld using blueprints

• Utilize GMAW, MCAW, and FCAW welding techniques

• Operate overhead cranes, cutting torches, and grinders

• Inspect work for quality assurance compliance

• Collaborate to meet project timelines

Requirements:

• 3+ years in custom steel fabrication

• Strong skills in blueprints and weld symbols

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• AWS or CWB certification preferred

• Forklift and crane operation experience is beneficial
