Join NTPC as a Diesel Mechanic and contribute to the maintenance of essential gas and diesel generators in Inuvik. This hands-on role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic who possesses at least five years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance. You'll be part of a safety-focused team, performing routine and emergency repairs on large generator sets. The ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with safety regulations is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair diesel generators and auxiliary systems

• Assist in scheduled overhauls and major repairs

• Conduct safety checks and hazard assessments

• Prepare detailed maintenance reports and parts lists

• Mentor operational staff on troubleshooting techniques

Requirements:

• Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic certification (Journeyperson)

• Experience with varied diesel engines preferred

• NWT Class 5 driver's license required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
