CHS has exciting summer internship opportunities on our Accounting teams. These positions will play an active role in the month-end accounting close and financial reporting process. These internships will provide work experience and mentoring from CHS professionals to prepare for a career in accounting, while being part of a broader early career networking and development cohort. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization and research skills.

The candidate must be driven, adaptable, detail-oriented, with natural curiosity and a desire to learn.

The intern will support a corporate or business unit accounting team.

• Record journal entries in the general ledger
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare schedules in support of the 10-Q reported externally to the SEC
• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks, analysis, and reporting
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
• Gain exposure to CHS leadership
• Present key findings from your work to other early career associates and leaders in a capstone presentation

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Previous work experience

• Agriculture experience or understanding of Agriculture industry
• Previous internship relating to finance, accounting or other Agriculture related internship

  CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
